The geographic boundaries for all UW alumni clubs are setup by the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) UW Alumni Club of Rockford is generally defined as the Rockford area.

According the WAA there have been historically over 1000 households in the Rockford area with at least one living alumni from UW-Madison. As of August 2005 the number of households was exactly 1088. The table below gives a summary of the August 2005 data.
